Project Duration
3 weeks with an additional 2 weeks

In the Winter of 2021, I enrolled in an online class for XR. During the course of the class, we had learned many aspects of XR including augmented reality and virtual reality all using Unity as our development environment.

To cap off the course, we were divided into teams to work on a game jam which we presented in February. This is our entry.

The concept was born from a desire to avoid going down typical path of a shooting type of game. We landed on have the player collect stars that had fallen from the night sky with a leaf blower. The initial version hit most of the features we were looking to include. The demo presented above included some cleaned up items.

Goals

The overall goal of this project was to learn to work on a project in a small group and to apply the concepts we had learned over the 8 weeks prior.

Challenges

As it was with busy adults, it was challenging to get together to sync things together. This was also our first run with Github and Unity. There were multiple check-in issues which had caused some delays.
